Lady Gaga, Victoria Beckham, And LL Cool J Are Inducted Into The Headwear Hall Of Fame

When last year's inductees into the Headwear Hall of Fame were revealed here on STF, there was one resounding reader reaction: "Where is Lady Gaga? The first thing I thought..." commenter LilBeauty wrote, while Claudy22 echoed, "Lady Gaga and Andre 3000 deserve a spot on this list 4 sure." Looks like the powers that be listened, because the sartorial adventuress finally landed herself a spot on the list this year.

The Headwear Association has just crowned this year's inductees, and Victoria Beckham and LL Cool J made the list, too. So how did these three snag the honors? According to a THA press release, "Members of The Headwear Association nominated more than 50 legendary hat wearers, living and deceased. Nominees had to wear hats in their personal lives and not only while portraying a character on the stage or screen." The association's president, Ryan Smith, adds, "“The mission of THA is to promote the headwear industry and keep hats in the public eye, and each year we honor individuals who have made hats an integral part of their personal style.” Rounding out the inductees are Marlene Dietrich, Fred Astaire, and Kid Rock.

Are you gals happy to see Lady Gaga finally get her hat-wearing due? Who else do you think belongs on this list? Do you admire the way any other celebs wear hats? Share!
