Ranjana Khan For The Limited: Drool-Worthy Jewels At A Very Nice Price
If you've got magpie tendencies like I do and adore anything shiny, you're going to be bowled over by the new line Ranjana Khan--jewelry designer, wife of red carpet guru Naeem, and living embodiment of pure glamour--has designed for The Limited.
I got a sneak peek last night, when The Limited invited editors to preview the necklaces, bracelets, and earrings (they're officially hitting their website November 14 and then 38 of their stores at the end of November). It's their first designer collaboration--though company reps say there are already more in the works--and I've gotta say, they nailed it. Each piece has an incredibly special feel, and the weight and quality are far above what you'd expect for a lower-priced line. The reason? "It's not possible to do something like this made in China," Ranjana told me. "I own my own factory in Mumbai, I've been cultivating those relationships for years, and it's all made there."
As for how to wear these statement baubles, Ranjana--who admits she has the ultimate dress-up office, where she and her assistants change accessories "four or five times a day"--says a plain white shirt is the way to go. "You just dress up something simple, and you're done," she tells us.
