Alexander McQueen Spring 2012: Five Dresses Worth Drooling Over
Once again, Sarah Burton left the audience breathless with her spring 2012 collection for Alexander McQueen. Check out our five favorite looks, then let us know which one you'd want to wear, after the jump.
Peplums are a huge trend for spring 2012, and this version of a sexy peplum dress is equal parts sweet and sexy. The print is downright demure, while that lingerie-inspired top is pure va-va-voom.
This one isn't so much a dress as it is an intricate work of art. Hey, Gwyneth Paltrow, can you hear me? This is what a gown looks like when it's begging you to wear it.
The true spirit of Alexander McQueen himself is represented better here than perhaps anywhere else in the collection. But look past the lace face mask and daring cape and you'll see a red carpet-ready number that would totally make jaws drop.
If I wasn't already in the process of designing my own wedding dress, I'd definitely call this one a contender. The exquisite detail, the body-skimming silhouette, and the pure never-seen-anything-like-that-before factor all make it a dream design for brides-to-be.
